The inaugural edition of the Qatar T10 League, a 10-over format tournament organized by the Qatar Cricket Association, was held from 7 to 16 December this year.

The International Cricket Council is investigating the Qatar T10 League after stopping “many knowns corrupts” who cleared it a year ago and featured some of the leading retired players such as South Africa’s Hashim Amla.

The ICC’s anti-corruption unit was working with the organizers to oversee the league.

“The ICC approved the event 12 months ago based on information provided by the organizers,” Alex Marshall, general manager of the ICC’s Integrity Unit, said in a statement released Tuesday night.

Substantial changes in team organizers & ownership occurred some days before the event, which rang alarm bells for us & we applied additional investigative resources to the ground to address our concerns.

“As a result, we have disrupted many knowns corrupts in Qatar and globally and disrupted the corrupt activity planned in this incident. This has given rise to many new investigations for the ICC ACU team as we continue in our efforts to ensure cricket to be a corruption-free game,” he said.

The inaugural edition of the Qatar T10 League, a 10-over format tournament organized by the Qatar Cricket Association, was held from 7 to 16 December this year.

The league of T10 has six teams that include 12 players from affiliated ICC countries, 24 international cricketers, players from the Qatar National Cricket Team and some local players.

The Falcon Hunters won the tournament by defeating the Swift Gallopers by four wickets.
Manpreet Gony (Fast bowler ) he played just two ODIs, was the only Indian to feature in the tournament.

Apart from Amala, the other key players competing in the league were Pakistan’s Kamran Akmal, Mohammad Hafeez, and Sohail Tanvir.
