The Toronto Blue Jays have officially announced the signature of rescuer Rafael Doris in a one-year contract with the Club Option in 2021.
The news of the firm came out on January 25, but the agreement between Blue Jays along with Rafael Doris was not official until yesterday.
According to Baseball-Reference, a 32-year-old will receive a $ 1 million guarantee in 2020 as well as a $ 1.5 million team option in 2021.
Doris pitched in the majors in 2013, and the Chicago Cubs spent the last four seasons in the Japan Central League with Hanshin Tigers abroad.
The right-handers made 56 appearances in 2019, averaging 2.11 runs in the 57.1 innings of the Tigers, averaging 19 saves and 5-4 records.
Veteran Haller collects 96 saves while in Japan, adding a much-needed experience in the back-end of the bullpen. Dolls can join and end the game if Ken Giles takes a break or is injured during the 2020 campaign.
Doris will join Giles, Thomas Pannon, Anthony Bass, Wilmar Font, and Sam Gaviglio as six favorites in the Bulls. Shun Yamaguchi, Jordan Romano, A.J. Cole, and Justin Miller compete for one of the few remaining places.
To make room for Doris’ 40 lists, Blue Jays has appointed box player Brevik Barrera to name him. It was claimed that the 28-year-old was exempt from the New York Yankees at the end of last season and played in five Toronto games.
Valera has 54 MLB games in three seasons with Cardinals, Dodgers, Orioles, Yankees and Blue Jays. The center team player has a diagonal line of .223 / .294 / .298, which includes 27 hits and a home run of 138 plays.
