Hundreds of thousands of NBA basketball fans are asking to refresh their slogan to honor Kobe Bryant after the tragic death of the great basketball player.
Bryant died with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna Bryant and seven others in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California on Sunday.
The team flew to Thousand Oaks, California, in a basketball game where Gianna was expected to play, and Bryant would be the coach.
With the early and unexpected death of the great Bryant Cuban, he signed this petition in an effort to perpetuate him forever as a new basketball logo, as creator Nick M wrote in the Change.org petition.
He added that he hoped our dream would come true and we could see Kobe Bryant engraved on the NBA logo.
The petition accumulated more than 280,000 signatures on Monday.
The current NBA logo is designed by Alan Siegel. It features a large silhouette of Jerry West from the Los Angeles Lakers.
