Carolina Panthers have picked Ohio State’s Jeff Okudah from Dan Kadar’s draft to replace Bradberry to help the cornerback position after the ending of 2019 while Matt Rhule has been named as their head coach for this offseason. The 2020 NFL Draft is going to be one of the few changes under the rule of Rhule.
the performance of its defense was not up to the mark last season. Donte Jackson was the starter in this position, but last season he lacked his consistency that became a serious concern for the team management, and as the fallout, he was benched last week.
Amidst the low performance, another concern has been added to the team officials as they may lose the main cornerback James Bradberry to free agency. Moreover, another cornerback Ross Cockrell will also be free and can sign for other clubs.
According to the experts, the Carolina Panthers should go all out to keep Bradberry at their nest but if it were not possible then Okudah would be the perfect replacement for the team.
To fit the bill for the next season, a fresh leg in defense is mandatory, and to do so, injecting a playmaker like Okudah would fit best.
Apart from Okudah, players like Marcus Peters, Chris Harris are free but as they not enlisted in the draft, panthers are not banking of them. Therefore, the management has picked up Okudah.
Donte needs many times to come back that is not possible for panthers to give right now, so it is perfect to get Okudah signed for this season, who is regarded as the top player of defense in recent American football.
