The wide receiver for the New England Patriots football team, Antonio Brown was accused of sexual assault by his former physical trainer, Britney Taylor. The complaint was filed in the US district court for Florida and it alleges that Brown had sexually assaulted Britney Taylor who was a gymnast.
Britney Taylor and Antonio Brown knew each other before as they had attended the same college together, Central Michigan University. They had met in the year 2010 as they were in the same college, but there was a period of time where both of them were not in contact with each other. But in 2017, Brown was able to get in touch with the gymnast through Facebook and had asked her to help him improve his strength and flexibility in his ankles and muscles.
As Taylor had recently opened a training center in Memphis, clients were growing in number. So Taylor began to train Brown to help him improve but Taylor claims that Brown had other plans. The civil complaint filed in the court on Tuesday, alleges that Brown had sexually assaulted Taylor on three separate occasions, two times in the month of June 2017 and once again on May 2018.
In June 2017, Taylor claims that she stayed at Brown’s home in Pittsburgh as he had not booked her a hotel room. While she was getting dressed in the bathroom, she claims that Brown walked in exposed, grabbed her and kissed her without her consent. Taylor brushed off this incident but later in the same month, Taylor alleges that Brown assaulted her again, this time in a church during a religious service. The complaint also has screenshots of allegedly threatening and demeaning texts from the then Pittsburgh Steelers player.
According to the gymnast, Taylor again met Brown in May 2018 at a club. She alleges that Brown had raped her in his bedroom later that night. She insists that even after telling him no and to stop, Brown refused to do so.
Brown’s attorney has said that the receiver has denied all the allegations made against him in the lawsuit
