Reddit Inc. was recently added to the digital marketing channel roster for the National Football League to broaden its horizons for more content and advertisements. It is currently launching a new series consisting of “Ask Me Anything” questions from Reddit users.
These questions will be taken and answered by NFL players, both current and former. Questions will also be taken by the league executives, famous fans of the NFL teams, and team personnel and other members or people who are closely associated with the NFL.
They will form discussions and take the questions of the Reddit users, which is a famous format for Reddit often abbreviated as AMAs.
Other than the Reddit deal, the NFL is also boosting its digital marketing scheme by producing a digital series that will be featuring guests and distributed on all the social media pages of the NFL, the league’s official website and on the cable network. It will even be posted on the Reddit page as well.
The deal with Reddit involves no fee or payment, rather both the companies will be sharing the revenues which will be produced due to the sponsorships associated with the videos.
Reddit is basically a platform where users can post their questions which could be answered by a guest. The questions can also receive upvotes to make it more visible for a guest and will most likely be answered.
With the “Ask Me Anything” series live, users can even post important and controversial questions that would be answered by the AMA guests if they wish to. The NFL players will speak on behalf on behalf of themselves rather than the NFL. It will be important for Reddit users and fans of football to know their viewpoint as well.
The National Football League has decided to host at least one AMA per month but the number might grow eventually in the future.
Alex Riccomini, the senior director for media partnerships and business development at Reddit, said that the video series will boost Reddit’s marketing strategies and help find new ways to introduce Reddit to newly joined users as well.
