Spanish giants Real Madrid could not get the deal done for Paul Pogba this summer but Sergio Ramos believes that the midfielder could end up at Los Blancos in the future.
Ramos, who earned his 167th international cap for Spain on Monday against Faroe Islands, said that Real Madrid have their doors always open for star players like Paul Pogba.
Pogba was heavily linked to a move away from Old Trafford this summer with Real Madrid being the frontrunners to secure the Frenchman’s signature.
The 26-year-old was on the top of Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane’s wishlist this summer but the incoming of other heavyweights like Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic left them short of funds necessary to meet United’s demands to let go Pogba.
I think Real Madrid always has the door open for good players such as him.
“For me, Pogba is one of the great players.
“He is different and he has shown his value at Juventus and now Manchester United.
“I think he brings balance to a team. He has a great offensive influence and he has this amazing physique.”
Pogba, who helped France win the World Cup a year ago, currently has some injury issues to deal with as he missed his national team’s matches against Albania and Andorra during the international break.
Manchester United will be hoping to get the midfielder fit and back on the field as soon as possible as they have some tricky games ahead. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men return to Premier League action on Saturday against the Foxes at Old Trafford, followed by a clash against Kazakh club Astana in the Europa League the following Thursday.
