A Business Trip

As one of the corporate capitals of the world, London has a lot to offer if you’re thinking of planning a business trip.

From standard activities like dinner at a top restaurant to something a little more out-there like tantric massages, in London, the choices really are endless.

Our advice for planning a successful business trip to London? Plan, plan, and plan some more. Break your day down into sections and set up activities accordingly, like so…

Morning

Let’s say you have a business meeting mid-morning, plan the remaining hours out to make the most of the time you have available.

Let’s start with breakfast – it’s the most important meal of the day, you know! If you’re staying in a hotel, they might offer breakfast as part of your stay. If not, there are tons of options around London to choose from. Here are some of our favourites…

Dishoom – with restaurants in various locations, Dishoom’s authentic Indian menu is absolutely glorious, and first thing in the morning? We honestly couldn’t think of anything better. We’re talking bottomless chai, naan rolls and heavenly Bloody Marys.

The Breakfast Club – as classic as its name suggests, The Breakfast Club is the place to go if you fancy a full-on fry up, waffles or pancakes – it’s decadent and delicious.

26 Grains – situated in Covent Garden, this is a healthier option for your business trip breakfast. If your colleagues or clients are acai lovers, this is the place to be.

Mid Day

So with breakfast out of the way and your morning meeting done, it might be time for an energy boost. We recommend enjoying some light sport, taking a walk around the city or taking care of your mental with some mindful activities.

Yoga – the perfect way to decompress after a hard-hitting convo about budgets; London is packed with independent yoga studios. Why not look up a class in your area and treat yourself and your team to 60 minutes of pure relaxation.

Walking – London is one of the most beautiful cities in the world with a myriad of places to take a wander. Whether you want to get rural in Richmond Park or soak up the cityscapes in central, break up your business

Sport – if you fancy something a little more competitive to get your blood flowing mid-day, there are loads of options available such as Tennis, Badminton or even zorbing if you really want to push the boat out.

Evening

Now for the evening, aka party time!

Bars – Obviously, there’s no shortage of bars in the Big Smoke, with classic chains like All Bar One on basically every corner or trendy one-offs like Night Tales in Hackney.

Clubs – If a bar isn’t quite enough of a vibe for you, the club scene in London has a lot to offer too. Go for a boogie in Heaven, hang out with the cast of Made In Chelsea in Raffles or dance ‘till dawn in Egg.

Tantric Massage – a slightly different option for your late-night activity, tantric massage is highly popular in London. With trained masseuses available for in-hotel visits, it could just be the perfect, most relaxing bookend to your business trip.

So there you have it, a breakdown of an entire day in London. Morning or evening, the best way to organise a successful business trip is to plan – so get researching, get booking and then enjoy!
