Howard made his debut in 2002 with the US National Team. Then after he played in three World Cups respectively in 2006,2010 and 2014. He won significantly in 2007 and 2017 editions of the Gold Cup. With the US National Team, Howard made his debut in 2002 playing the 2006, 2010, and 2014 World Cups. Tim Howard also has multiple Gold Cup participation winning the 2007 and 2017 editions.
