Only a few days post his appointment as Arsenal manager and with only a handful of training editions below his belt, Mikel Arteta discerned his new team draw 1-1 with Bournemouth in one of nine Premier League fixtures fiddled on Boxing Day.

Arsenal has now bagged just one game in drawing six in their end 11 Premier League fixtures. In a sum, it was Arsenal’s 9th draw of the edition in 19 games and it does not acquire Arsenal in mid-table and one of 10 teams from being 8 to 17 that are differentiated by only 7 points.

Arsenal enthusiasts have huge hopes for their team and modern manager who, at 37, is the club’s very young boss since Terry Neill was allotted 43 years ago. So what, if anything, did we acquire from Arteta’s initial game in charge?

More pluses than minuses

Yet Arsenal had extra of the playa draw was a genuine result. There was extra of a buzz to Arsenal with some good and dynamic walking off the ball and an eagerness to bag the ball back when possession was given away. The change and passing temp was much faster and more efficient.

Mesut Ozil was specifically active in the initial half getting into nice positions in the Bournemouth back four and the midfield and it appeared like Arteta had provided him license to play with lesser defensive responsibilities.

It gives out credibility I recognise but the more positive Arsenal enthusiasts will be seeing at this game as the beginning of an undefeated streak below Arteta! The 27-year-old German goalkeeper has been definite throughout this season and he has sometimes seen the difference between a draw and a loss or a loss and a thrashing.

A huge problem this edition has been Arsenal letting the opposition far too many chances and it was once more the case in rival to Bournemouth. The home side possessed 12 attempts on goal with 4 on goal.
