The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is ready to celebrate the birth centenary of ‘Bongobondhu’ Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the establisher of Bangladesh, by hosting twin T20 matches in March within the Asia XI and the World XI.

While the ICC is stated to have provided the game’s official status, setting at the present situation in India and Pakistan, one would wonder what it will arrive at either India or Pakistan players when it arrives in filling the XI names in the Asia XI team sheet.

Talking to IANS, BCCI joint secretary Jayesh George though has made it proper that such a scene where both India and Pakistan players fiddle in the Asia XI would not arise as the message is that there will be no Pakistan players called upon.

“What we are known of is that there will be no Pakistani players in Asia Eleven. That is what the statement is, so, there is no asking of both the countries arriving together or selecting one over the other. Sourav Ganguly will think the 5 players who will be included of Asia Eleven,” he conveyed.

Things have moved from bad to worse in earlier times with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Ehsan Mani seeing to acquire a dig at the Indian government and implying that the security scenario in India is not as good as in Pakistan and teams should genuinely be happy to play in Pakistan.

“We have established that the Pakistan country is safe, if someone is not arriving then they should confirm that it is not safe. At this moment, India is at a more great security risk than Pakistan.
