Sam Billings, an English Batsman, will not be making an appearance in T20 franchise action this winter.

Billings had decided to take a break from the franchise as well as from the Indian Premier League (IPL). He was left out of the national white-ball squad for South Africa tour.

He had a poor performance in New Zealand series and, thus, he was left out of the upcoming tour of South Africa where England will be hosting three One Day Internationals as well as the T20I in February following the four-match test series.

He was the vice-captain for England in the New Zealand tour T20I series. His performance was poor, and he scored only 34 runs in five innings.

Billings has also been released from Chennai Super Kings in November. Being out of favours, the batsman registered himself for auction in the next IPL’s auction.

English batsman has also played in the Pakistan Super League for Islamabad United and even in Sydney Sixers of Australia’s Big Bash.

Sam Billings is looking forward to the break and says that he will get himself ready for the next season with Kent. With his return, he wishes to push his name for England selections.

He hopes that his disappointment would give him a fresh start in the next season when he returns.

He took to Twitter to wish luck to the Three Lions for the upcoming South Africa tour which begins on 26th December in Centurion.

In his Twitter post, he expressed his disappointment in being left out of the white-ball, but he still wishes the boys good luck.

He was further chosen to pull out of the franchise and will return in the next season. He also said that he was glad that he played all these years and break will freshen him up.
