India beat Japan 6-3 to clinch final berth in Olympic Test Event hockey

India is a sports lover country. Here sports are played and followed with equal passion. Hockey, being the national sport, holds a special place in everyone’s heart.  

Indian men’s and women’s hockey teams are doing fairly well in International events. Both teams have shown tremendous performance in the last few tournaments. 

Indian men’s hockey team has secured its position in the finals of the Olympic test event. With the outstanding hat-trick of striker Mandeep Singh and other goals scored by Nilam Sanjeep Xess, Nilakanta Sharma and Gurjant Singh, Indian team beat hosts Japan with a 6-3 score to clinch a final berth in the Olympic test event. 

Mandeep spelled his charm and scored the goals in the 9th, 29th and 30th minutes. Nilakanta Sharma scored a goal in 3rd minutes, Nilam Sanjeep Xess scored a goal in 7th minutes and Gurjant Singh scored a goal in 41st minutes. Kenta Tanaka, Kazuma Murata, and Kentaro Fukuda scored the goals for Japan.

This win of India against Japan brought the team at the second position in the points tally.

The Indian team has rebounded well from its initial 1-2 loss against New Zealand and is now all set to clash again with New Zealand in the final summit on Wednesday. The match will commence at 8:30 am (IST).

This match is certainly going to be a nail-biting match. Both the teams are doing well in the tournament. It is going to be really interesting to see which team lifts the cup and becomes champion.
